The American River Current, a student-run newspaper for American River College, explains the imperative role BoothCentral played in making their school’s club meetings possible. With the suspension of in-person meetings, clubs at American River College debated the best course of action for the upcoming school year.
Naomi Dasari, a student representative, explained the features of the platform saying: “BoothCentral is a service for people and organizations to host events online. There can be a livestream of a whole group video and there are individual vendor booths set up for the audience to browse the gallery and privately message and video call the booth.”
This change to BoothCentral’s virtual platform allowed all clubs to be visible on one webpage, a more convenient alternative to separate Zoom meetings. President of CAEB, Mark Sheppard, explained that BoothCentral is “the closest that clubs can get to having their own booths like on a regular in-person club day.”
